A little background:

Felice on Hudson is one of the newest locations of the Felice restaurant brand. Located in the West Village, it is one of 11 locations in New York and Florida. A location also recently opened in Roslyn, Long Island and the 12th location is set to open in Brickell, Miami. Felice is part of SA Hospitality Group which also includes the brands, Sant Ambroeus and Casa Lever. The first location was opened in 2007 on the Upper East Side by SA Group COO, Jacopo Giustiniani. The restaurants feature Tuscan dishes and extensive wines inspired by his families own vineyard.

What we ordered:

I went here for brunch with a friend and it was incredible. The ambience is beautiful. There is a huge wine selection with bottles all over the restaurant used as decor. The space is cozy, perfect for a meal with family or close friends. Our server, Rafaela was amazing; attentive, friendly, knowledgeable of the menu and cuisine and really pretty. We started off with drinks. I ordered the Riviera from their regular drink menu (Bombay Dry Gin, St. Germain, Chartreuse liqueur, fresh mint) and my friend got an espresso martini (available on both their regular and brunch cocktail menu).

They give you their delicious Tuscan bread and olive oil complimentary. I suggest not filling up on too much bread, because you’ll want to order the delicious burrata e prosciutto appetizer served with more of the Tuscan bread. The burrata was so creamy and paired perfectly with the salty prosciutto. Rafaela recommended the Pizzetta con Salmone Affumicato (smoked salmon pizzetta) which was so delicious. It was even better than I thought it would be. I also tried one of their brunch cocktails, the Puccini, made with fresh mandarin oranges.

For my entree, I ordered the fusili with San Marzano tomato sauce and burrata. My friend ordered the pollo fritto (fried chicken) served with an arugula and tomato salad, spicy caper aioli and grilled lemon. The fried chicken was really crispy and paired well with the sauce it was served with. The pasta is homemade and very fresh. My friend also ordered a side of bacon which was perfectly crispy.

For dessert, we ordered the chocolate crostata with whipped cream that was whipped tableside, a nice touch. I also had an espresso. I highly recommend going there. It was a very satisfying meal and overall a great experience.
