Delish Weekend in DC

For Martin Luther King Jr. weekend I decide to bus it down to D.C. to visit my mom (Michelle Obama), visit the MLK Memorial and eat everything in sight. I accomplished 2 out of 3 of those things.

Lay’s Chips Taste Test

The beauty of having a food blog that nobody reads is that you have an excuse to eat food you normally wouldn’t…tell anyone about. I decided to do the Lay’s Do Us a Flavor challenge which I instantly regretted. I’m not really a fan of potato chips to begin with. It has an assortment of appetizers, wings, comfort food dishes like meat loaf and mac and cheese, barbecue, seafood, steak, burgers, sandwiches, salads and pizza.

Homemade Brunch

I’m a big fan of brunch. Some weekends I prefer to stay home and enjoy my brunch rather than going out. Usually it’s on a Saturday, because most of the unlimited alcohol (only way to do brunch) deals are on Sunday. I like to make pancakes, because they are easy, eggs for the same reason and turkey bacon, also for the same reason. These are usually the parts of all my brunches. With work all week I don’t have time in the morning to cook a meal, photograph, eat it, and write about it, so I enjoy dusting my kitchen and putting it to use at the end of the week. Here’s how I get down…
